F07, door switch: the door reads open during CLEAN — latch or door sensor failed, or the door opened before the latch engaged.

Check, in this order

Ask whoever started the clean whether the door was touched right after CLEAN was selected.
pass opened at the start: likely a one-off slip fail nobody touched it: the latch or door sensor is suspect

When cold, check the door shuts flat with no rack, pan or foil in the way.
pass shuts flat: go on to step 3 fail something was in the way: clear it before the next clean

After the clean is off, reset the oven's breaker once and bake normally.
pass no code through the bake: keep an eye on the next clean fail F01 during the bake, or a door that stays locked: book the latch check

A slip or a failing latch
The service table names three routes to F07: a failed door latch, a failed door sensor, or a door opened straight after CLEAN was selected, before the latch could engage.
The same latch is behind F01 on these ovens, which is why the last check watches for both codes.
Stop and call if
- F07 returns on a clean started with the door shut and left alone.
- A cold oven still has its door locked shut; never force the handle or the latch.

Is F07 the same as a door that stays locked after cleaning?
No. F07 means the control saw the door open during a clean. A lock light still lit after cleaning usually means the oven is too hot to release yet. If the oven is cold and the door stays locked, the latch is the suspect, as it can be for F07.
Does F07 mean the latch needs replacing?
Not always. A door opened too early is a one-off with no failed part. When F07 repeats with the door left shut, the latch and the door sensor are both tested before any part is named. Viking Repair Redmond, (425) 585-2373; the $89 visit comes off the repair.
